Kayak the Lake

You're not doing Tahoe right if you don't get in the lake! There are many companies along the lake that rent kayaks and stand up paddle boards. One located at Commons Beach near Gralibakken is Tahoe City Kayak. Check out their website for more information.

Go for a Hike

There are so many great hikes in the greater tahoe area and trails range from leisurely to strenuous. Our favorite, and a one of the more challenging options, is hiking Mt Tallac (pictured right). Many of the best hikes are found on the southwest shore, near the city of South Lake Tahoe. Some great options include:
  • Mt. Tallac Trail
  • Rubicon Trail
  • Cascade Falls Trail
  • Fallen Leaf Lake Trail
  • Eagle Falls and Eagle Lake Trail
